Two communities are ready to welcome you<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Chemin Neuf Community and the Dominican Sisters of Bethanien are pleased to welcome you to the guest house of the Bethanien monastery. It is located near St. Niklausen, a small village in the Obwalden mountains at an altitude of 800 metres. The view over the valley and the Lake Sarnen is exceptional. The Ranft, the hermitage of St Nicholas of Fl\u00fce, can be reached in half an hour’s walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, the Chemin Neuf Community took over the running of the guest house, entering into an alliance with the Dominican Sisters. Today, pilgrims, travellers & visitors, seminarians and the general public rub shoulders in this splendid setting.<\/p>\n\n\n

Restaurant<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Come and enjoy the setting, the terrace and the refined cuisine at any time of day. Breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner don’t hesitate, the restaurant is open from 7.30am to 8pm<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At lunchtime, we offer a menu of the day. For last-minute reservations<\/strong> (for the same day until 10am), please contact us at +41 41 666 02 00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our monastery is located on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela. For pilgrims looking for a place to recharge their batteries and relax, we offer suitable accommodation in shared rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
